In the early seventies the Club saw the need for the Senior Citizens of Latrobe to have somewhere to meet. A meeting was called and interest in the concept developed. Money was made available through a Federal Government Grant and together with community funds a building was erected in Hamilton Street on the site of the former tennis courts. This has proved to be an excellent facility for the elderly citizens of Latrobe.

With 57 units now completed it has been decided not to continue further construction.
