Welcome to the Rotary Club of Latrobe website. It is an honour for me to lead our Club forward in 2009/2010 with the support of the Board and members.
New members are always welcome – so if you are a professional person in our community - give us a call & let us get to know you & show you what a great club we are, and how you can help to make a difference.
We meet at the Axemans Hall of Fame at 6.00pm on a Wednesday night. Rotarians join for many reasons, one of which is fellowship – which was the aim of our founder Paul Harris.
Another reason for joining Rotary is to make a difference – a difference to the disadvantaged in our community & those less fortunate around the world.
Our Club is actively involved in youth programs locally and internationally. This year we are hosting a Youth Exchange student from Austria & in return we are sponsoring a local student to participate in Youth Exchange - living & studying overseas for 12 months.
Rotary has some wonderful humanitarian programs for which our fund raising will contribute to. Programs such as “Polio Eradication”, “Feed the Hungry” & Shelter boxes. We have raised funds for several years to provide shelter boxes for disasters around the world & this year shelter boxes have been provided to our own Victorian bushfire devastated areas – like to know more….give us a call.
